Lafayette City Marshal Reggie Thomas is proud to reintroduce the D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) Program to our community. After a 20-year hiatus, this vital program aimed at equipping K-12 students with essential skills to resist drugs, gangs, and violence is back at the Lafayette City Marshal Office.

Marshal Reggie Thomas has taken a proactive step by sending Deputy Alexander, a committed member of our community, to receive specialized training as the dedicated D.A.R.E. officer. Hailing from Breaux Bridge, LA, Deputy Alexander, with an impressive background and affiliations like the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., exemplifies an unwavering commitment to community service and education.

Deputy Alexander, now serving as both a bailiff and D.A.R.E. officer, embodies the values and dedication needed to guide and educate our youth. His journey stands as a testament to the Lafayette City Marshal’s Office’s commitment to fostering a safe and empowered community through education and proactive initiatives.
