We are thrilled to announce the much-anticipated Lafayette City Marshal Reggie Thomas 3rd Annual Drive-Thru Backpack Giveaway! This year’s event will take place on August 5th at 9:00 AM, and we are eager to welcome students and families from all over Lafayette to participate in this wonderful initiative.
At Destiny of Faith Church, located at 409 Patterson Street, Lafayette, LA 70501, we will be distributing over 600 clear bags packed with school supplies approved by LPSS (Lafayette Parish School System). From elementary to high school, we have thoughtfully prepared supplies to cater to all levels of education, ensuring that every student has the tools they need for a successful academic year.
Safety and convenience are our top priorities, which is why this year’s backpack giveaway will continue being conducted as a drive-thru event. Students must be present in the vehicle to receive their backpack, allowing us to maintain a smooth and contactless distribution process. We encourage families to participate and make this a fun outing together!
