The D.A.R.E. Program is reinstated at the Lafayette City Marshal Office.

The Lafayette City Marshal’s Office, under the leadership of Marshal Reggie Thomas, is proud to reintroduce the D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) Program to our community. After a 20-year hiatus, this essential program is reinstated to equip K-12 students with crucial skills to resist drugs, gangs, and violence.

Marshal Reggie Thomas and Deputy Alexander, along with the entire Lafayette City Marshal’s Office team, are excited about the return of the D.A.R.E. Program. This initiative aligns with our mission to instill values of resilience, responsibility, and respect in the youth, contributing to a safer and brighter future for Lafayette.

D.A.R.E. Officer – Deputy Alexander

Deputy Alexander, a committed community member, is designated as the dedicated D.A.R.E. officer. Hailing from Breaux Bridge, LA, Deputy Alexander brings valuable experience and affiliations.

Training and Qualifications

  • Deputy Alexander has undergone specialized training to lead the D.A.R.E. Program.
  • He concurrently serves as a bailiff and as a D.A.R.E. officer.
