On August 6, 2022, the Lafayette City Marshal Reggie Thomas along with the Rotary Club of Lafayette South and YMCA had their 2nd Annual Drive Thru Back Pack Giveaway for children in the Lafayette community. The giveaway began at 9:00am at the Destiny of Faith Church, which is located at 409 Patterson St., Lafayette, LA 70501. Over 600 approved mesh back packs with supplies were distributed.
